Ross Berry

Chairman & Trustee

Ross Berry is a Chief Executive Officer whose tested and transparent leadership creates a winning culture that drives quality outcomes, profitability, and employee, patient, and physician satisfaction. Skilled in startup and turnaround environments, Ross possesses the ability to quickly identify and capitalize on opportunities that enhance operations, financial performance, and community reputation. He offers a rare combination of expertise in hospital administration, physician group practice integration, and value-based medicine in population health management to guide health systems in a fast-changing industry. Ross is a consensus builder known for approaching challenges with an open mind to collaboratively design breakthrough initiatives. A native of South Carolina, Ross attended the University of South Carolina. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Francis Marion University, formerly the University of South Carolina at Florence. Ross obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Committed to continuous learning, both personally and professionally, Ross has earned the professional designation of Board-Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) as well as Fellow (FAAMA) in the American Academy of Medical Administrators. Ross is a licensed commercial pilot with a deep interest in World War II history and aviation. He enjoys playing the guitar and holds a black belt in Chinese Go-Ju-Ryu. He is a PADI internationally certified scuba diver. Ross and his wife are the parents of three daughters.

Donna Brown, MD, FACS

Trustee

Donna D. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in cornea and external disease and in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Dr. Brown received her Doctorate of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School’s affiliated hospitals followed by fellowships in cornea and external disease and in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. A native of Tennessee, Dr. Brown completed her undergraduate studies at Carson-Newman College. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, as well as a member of the Cornea Society. She also serves as the Medical Director for the Old Dominion Eye Foundation, the organ procurement organization for corneal transplantation and eye banking.

Michael Hemsey

Trustee

Michael Hemsey leads the product strategy, market expansion, loyalty systems, and operational delivery teams for Merkle’s loyalty solutions. He is focused on the expansion of loyalty services into untapped industries and geographies and further disrupting the loyalty industry. For over 20 years, Michael has cultivated a rich background in client services, product development, marketing, technology, and operations. As President of Kobie Marketing, Michael was responsible for all facets of the loyalty marketing organization and grew the company exponentially over his tenure. Previously, Michael served as Executive Vice President of ESC (now TSYS Loyalty) and held leadership positions at Broadvision, Consumer Financial Network, and Mutual of New York (MONY). Michael holds a B.A. in Government from the University of Notre Dame.

Monty Maule

Trustee

Monty Maule is a successful Vincentian business owner in the manufacturing sector as well as a respected pastor. Mr. Maule’s position on the Board provides a voice from the business and political perspective of the St. Vincent community. His spiritual leadership is an asset in the Board’s decision-making process. Mr. Maule resides in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Rajeev Vasudeva, MD, FACG

Trustee

Dr. Rajeev Vasudeva, MD, FACG, is a highly skilled gastroenterologist who brings a wealth of experience to his private practice. With a medical degree from Government Medical College in Amritsar, Punjab, India, Dr. Vasudeva completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and his GI Fellowship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois.

Dr. Vasudeva is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, and holds membership in several prestigious medical associations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and has served as a Professor of Medicine and Director for the Division of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition at the USC School of Medicine.
