Clinical Program Advantages

At Trinity School of Medicine, our clerkship program is designed to provide several advantages by maintaining a single, consistent location for clinical rotations. This eliminates the need to move from city to city, saving students money and the hassle of finding new housing and adapting to different areas and hospital technologies. This stability allows for more dedicated time to study for Step 2, ensuring a stronger focus on academic success. Additionally, the seamless transition between rotations prevents gaps, keeping students on track for a timely graduation and a cohesive learning experience. This continuity promotes deeper integration into the clinical community, ultimately fostering stronger relationships with mentors and healthcare teams.

Students can participate in clinical rotations in Warner Robins, Georgia, in Baltimore, Maryland, or the west coast in California.

Expanding to Maryland and California increases student options, providing exposure to diverse patient populations and healthcare systems. For those interested in Surgery, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, residency programs in Georgia, Maryland, and California offer invaluable career stepping stones.

Southeast Clinicals

Located just 80 miles south of Atlanta, Warner Robins is an emerging hub of medical education, centered around Houston Healthcare (HHC). HHC has grown from a single community hospital in Warner Robins to an integrated healthcare system consisting of seven separate entities serving 300,000 people annually. Its two acute care medical facilities have a combined capacity of 282 beds.

Trinity has partnered with HHC in a long-term affiliation agreement, under which Trinity students will experience priority access to the clinical training resources at HHC and its affiliated physician network.

Mid-Atlantic Clinicals

Baltimore, MD

Trinity’s clerkship program has expanded to include rotation options in Baltimore, Maryland. Students now have the flexibility to undertake all or part of their clinical rotations in Baltimore. Students interested in Surgery and/or Internal Medicine residencies may choose to rotate through our hospital partner that has those residency programs. Rotating with residents may enhance a student’s ability to match into these specialties across the US. Some rotations may have an add-on cost to tuition due to the competitiveness of the rotation, but we keep the cost as affordable as possible. Some rotations do have attendance limitations so students must plan in advance. Trinity’s clerkship rotations are structured to provide valuable experience and broaden students’ understanding of diverse patient care settings. This location is particularly advantageous for our students from the Northeast, offering them the ability to complete rotations within a closer proximity to home with many transportation options. Educational equivalence is maintained by having weekly case-based learning experiences.

West Coast Clinicals

We are expanding our rotation opportunities with a new site on the West Coast in California. Starting January 2025, students will have the chance to gain valuable experience at several esteemed hospitals.
